Truck Driver/Warehouse Support

Position Summary:
This role performs truck driving and warehouse support duties at SECORCares, a faith-based non-profit
free food market working to alleviate suburban poverty in Douglas, Arapahoe and Elbert Counties of
Colorado.
The Truck Driver/Warehouse support staff is responsible for loading, unloading, operating, and inspecting
trucks to pick up and deliver food and supplies, and for assisting with warehouse duties, in support of
SecorCares food market and outreach operations.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
The essential functions include, but are not limited to the following:
• Fully supports the faith-based mission of SECORCares.
• Drive and operate trucks to locations as instructed.
• Pre-inspect truck.
• Pick up goods and materials, verify loads for accuracy, and deliver them as instructed.
• Load and unload cargo.
• Report any necessary vehicle maintenance to management.
• May perform light vehicle maintenance as needed.• Assists with vehicle registration updates such as completing emissions testing or recording
mileage.
• Fuels vehicles and submits receipts in accordance with organization policy.
• Sorts incoming donated and purchased goods and materials and breaks down pallets as needed.
• Maneuvers pallets in the warehouse as needed.
• Comply with all safe work practices, policies, and processes.
• Complete and verify paperwork for accuracy.
• Demonstrate professional conduct with vendors, suppliers, SECORCares guests, visitors,
volunteers, and staff.
• As directed by the Operations Manager, instructs volunteer transportation assistant(s) on safety
procedures and assigns picking up or delivering loads on an as-needed basis.
• Performs other related duties as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications (Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities):
• High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or one to three months related
experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Valid unrestricted Colorado Drivers Class R Driver’s License.
• Knowledge of traffic laws and DOT regulations.
• Pallet jack, forklift and reach truck certification(s) preferred.
• Ability to lift 50 pounds repeatedly throughout the day.
• Clean driving record.
• Strong listening and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to work in a team environment and take direction from management and supervisors.
• Ability to read and interpret documents such as procedure manuals, work instructions.
Licenses, Registrations, and Certificates:
Valid unrestricted Colorado Class R Drivers License.

noise level in the work environment is usually low to moderate.
